Jeff grew up near Detroit, Michigan and came to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ when he was 11, through the faithful ministry of his youth leader and the groundwork laid by his mother. During his college years, while serving in his home church and in a campus bible study, God began to place the desires for full-time ministry on Jeff’s heart, which eventually led to seminary training in California some 10 years later. While in seminary, God provided several short-term missions trips, including a trip to Lisbon, Portugal, which opened Jeff’s eyes to the immense spiritual needs of believers and unbelievers alike around the globe. After much prayer and counsel, Jeff became convinced that God was calling him to devote his gifts and energies to advancing the cause of Christ’s church overseas, specifically in the country of Portugal.

Favorite Bible Book: Gospel of John (I've been known to frequently change!)

Favorite Bible Verses: 2 Corinthians 5:21 - "He made him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in him." And 1 Peter 3:18 - "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."

Jennifer grew up in Saginaw, Michigan. By God’s sovereign design, her neighbors invited her to their local church, and for the first time she began hearing the gospel. Eventually, after continuing to attend the church services, God opened Jennifer’s heart to her need for Christ and she was saved. During her college years, Jennifer became involved in a campus fellowship group, and through that ministry was given multiple opportunities to do short-term missions work in the Middle East. Through these ministry trips God put a special burden on her heart for missions. It has been the delight of Jennifer’s heart to see God, over the course of several years, steer her husband, herself, and her children in the direction of career missions.
